DML Montessori - A Lifesaver!

                                                                    in her school uniform

                                                                  at the little garden

                                                              Friday PE uniform

Kuya Nat can play basketball here

                                                                 school ground

                                                             basketball court/playground

By the rule, in the Philippines, 4-year-olds will only be accepted for Kindergarten so long as they will turn 5 by October of the same year. Sush will turn 5 by December.

Her Prep school teacher assured us that she could possibly be accepted so long as she will pass her assessment exam. Sadly, she did not, on the numbers. She did well on the shapes, colors and letters.

Sush didn't make it to Cogon Public School for her Kindergarten. The assessment questions were not easy for my 4-year-old. But we did not lose hope.

Thankfully, DML Montessori is to the rescue. I'm just so happy and relieved that they would accept 4-year-old Kindergartens. Tuition fee is not that affordable though, but it's okay. M will find a way :D

Thank you, DML Montessori! You are such a life-saver!

Yummy Chikboi Inasal: Date with Nat- (For) March 2026

                                                          while he patiently waited

                                                          when we are not fighting

I will be back for more cold treats

too many milk tea to choose from..before..

                                                            waiting is a virtue

                                                              I love chicken ~

                                                                 I think its a lot

                                                                   milk tea yum

                                                                      it's huge!

                                                                      next time for frogurt

                                                                      doggie :)

                                                                       unli rice, they said...

I always saw the place every time I travel to Tagbilaran City. I dreamed of dining there. And so it happened.

We arrive late at Yummy Chikboi Inasal. I was not expecting anymore because they were about to close. But somehow, Paeng's and Crispy King were nearby so I guess, it was the reason why they still entertain us.

I was even telling them that if they are about to close, its okay, we will just find somewhere else.

But since they said "yes", thanks and Nat enjoyed his food, while I love the milk tea. I think he always like chicken but it was new to him since it was grilled, not fried. Still he ate all because I insist that he should not waste his food.

The place was cute, food affordable, maybe because it was near a public high school.

They even have unli-rice offer but I won't be for it cause I limit my carbs intake. Would I come back?

Maybe for the frogurt! Yes!

Yummy Chikboi Inasal, located at Tabalong, Dauis, Bohol, almost in front of Tabalong National High School.

Sushi's Assessment for K2

Sush is being assessed by a teacher in the City if she can proceed to Kindergarten. As a Mama, this made me nervous ;)

Cafe De Dauis: Date with Nat- (For) February 2026

Time alone with Nat is quite rare, I feel guilty of this. Gladly, Sush was so understanding when I said I will take Nat for date. So we went to Cafe De Dauis so he can have a fancy dinner.
And myself too, lol :)

But what I love about the place was the creamy oreo drink and their hamburger. The French fries was good too.

Do I wish to come back? Yes, for the creamy oreo drink :)

Loveberries: Date with Sush - May 2026

Our Church Day without Nat since he is still in Trinidad.
So it is just me and Sush. I told her that we will have a date somewhere. Took her to BQ Food Court, at Loveberries.
I was glad that the foods were child-friendly :)
I ordered waffle for Sush and I was able to buy royal tru-orange at another kiosk for Php30.00 after we came out of the toilet.

I ordered tuna sandwich for myself while she ate.

And I wonder where to for June?! :)

Trinidad For Nanay Pacita's Birthday ~

Nanay Pacita's birthday is April 28. And their annual fiesta is every May 2.
So the kids and M went home again. M told her siblings that she will take care of cooking the chicken for their dinner.

Before they travel, she stopped by her Dentist for her brace adjustment.

But in Balilihan town, rain pours down and they need to take shelter

And they even had snacks along the way too.

Who says going home is tiring?!

Not these two ;)

Acceptance ~

When we become a Mom, no matter the category, all we want is to protect our child. More so, when we choose to be an adoptive Mom we tend to be more sensitive. It feels like we are questioning the sincerity of the people's acceptance of our child. And any offense seemed to leave a mark more than necessary.

Just recently, my brother made something that really offended Nat. He jokingly throw a piece of wood towards Nat's mug of chocolate drink and voila - it was like a perfect dunk unto his drink.

Nat came back home with tears rolling down his cheeks, marching angrily with his mug, so hurt with what my brother did. I find it very offensive that I even told Nat not to go back to my brother's place. I then wonder if would my brother even do it to my other nephews? I felt he has discriminated Nat with his actions. I don't know if I can ever undo this feeling of anger towards him too.

*** In the video. Taken I think two years ago, one was taken with Nat wearing Sush's pants so he looks funny in this one. He was actually on the direction to my brother's house.

Kindness From A Child ~

funny watching her asking the beggar for attention

After attending Sunday school at Bread Life, we crossed to the former PBCOM area. Before we can even go to Alturas Mall, we were called to wait because unfortunately, I have left my phone at the church.

That's when Sush has focused on the beggar, someone called 'bajao" - a minority in our province. Most of them are not educated and will survive from alms.

Sush ask money from me to give to the beggar. I gave her a Php5.00 coin.

She the proceeded to the woman and even touch her feet so the woman would talk to her. I laughed.

She may not be able to save the world and its suffering, but I hope that growing up she will have the heart to extend help, when she can, and not just turn a blind eye.

These Little Moments

Trying to be reminded of these moments :) Sometimes we ignore our kids at home only to see them clearer sometimes and noticed with a surprise, how they have grown :)

San Miguel, Bohol: Bayongan Dam!

Going home to Trinidad comes in a form of adventure. Not only to visit Nanay (Grandma) who was sick at that time, but to also pass by a dam at San Miguel town.

M took Nat at Bayongan Dam to marvel at its beauty. I always tried to influence M to embrace the mentality of having the magic in every moment. To grab the chance to have an adventure whenever possible. And here they are happy at San Miguel town. I really love this update ;)

24 Chicken Alturas Mall

After church at Bread of Life, it was already almost 12 noon, so I brought them to the 24 Chicken branch at Alturas Mall. I ordered rice, chicken, and French fries with iced tea. Sadly, they didn’t like the condiments—it had a strong herbal smell. Kids don’t usually like herbs, so that was understandable.

But their French fries are undeniably good.

It’s been a while since I last took them out together because they always end up fighting. I hope that someday, they can be more peaceful. :D
