United Nations Costume For Nat

Weeks ago, Nat's teacher has informed all of us through the group chat that Japan costume is needed for the United Nation's Day celebration.

Though a specific date was not yet established, we were informed to be prepared. Nat is only in Kindergarten but there seems to be a lot of fuss for the need on UN costume. I remember, during my elementary years, we never had a UN event that requires this much preparation.

I checked the malls for possible costume. Gladly, I have read from the teacher that if costume will be a problem, then they can just wear anything white with a shade of red in it.

So I let Nat wear a white shorts and a white T-shirt that has a little red design. And I quickly prepared the flag of Japan.

Thanks to Marj, she helped me.

When we arrived at school, the parade has started but thankfully we were still able to join :)

Costume problem solved :)

Halloween 2024

My little witch Sushmita wanted to join the trick and treat tomorrow at M's workplace at Ibex.

But she has no basket for her goodies yet ;) I hope some Mama would let us borrow hers.

My Sweet Sushmita

On the way to work, M shared to me that Sush always wanted her to pick me up from work at 5pm.

Sush always said that she misses me.

And once, Sush mentioned that she wanted her to buy a PINK flower. When she asked why, Sush said she wanted to give to Mama.

This sweet little girl knows how to make me happy :)

Grandpa's Passing

Grandpa P passed away for a suspected cardiac arrest. He suddenly fell after standing from the bed at night.

M's sisters rushed him to the hospital but he was already DOA.

It was Sushi's first heartbreak from the family.  How we wish we can let you see Sush growing up, but sadly, it was not meant to be :'(

Rest in peace, Tatay!

Bingag Beach - Near Hinagdanan Cave, Close To Home ~

                                                         always happy at the beach

                                                                looking for shells? :)

                                                                    peaceful

 natural

                                                                       playful

There is no excuse not to enjoy the beach if I really wanted to. We are just ten minutes walk to this place, in our village. But this is closer to the Hinagdanan Cave.

Be careful when going here during rainy season as the pavement can be slippery.  Over all, when watching them closely, kids are just safe. Better if they also use beach shoes for safety on their feet :)

Can't Go Anywhere On a Sunday

We are supposed to go to church today.

Unfortunately, Sush has fever, Nat has accidental burn on his left arm from what happened at my work place.

I asked Sush to open her mouth so I can see what causes her discomfort. And because I want to play Doctor myself, I guess Sush has Herpangina (if google pic is enough for me to diagnose).

To add discomfort, my period is here to annoy me.

I can't seem to force going there or I might have to deal with an irate and screaming children.

So we just have to be at home and hopefully recover from all these discomforts.

Amarah Elise's First Birthday ~

We were invited for an exciting night of celebration for Amarah Elise's first birthday party (September 17). So the kids were included in the invitation, thanks to Brenda's generous heart.

Children were given Jollibee foods, their favorite, with spaghetti and chicken.

While most of us adults were enjoying the dishes, lechon and sweets. Amarah's birthday was held at Seafront Sepo Grill & Restaurant at V. Inting Avenue, Tagbilaran City. It was our first time to grace the place. It was held on a dinner time, so we were not able to grace the beach-front area.

Maybe next time.

We are again grateful for Amarah's parents for the invitation. The kids were happy. :)

Church, We Miss You!

It has been a while since I attended church or mass for that matter. The place where we live does not have a public transport to begin with.

But I miss the “churchy” feel or the comfort that church brings to my soul.

So yesterday, I tried doing it again with my babies.

It was not easy when my little girl wants to dance in the middle of the church.

While Nat was quite outspoken when he complained “THAT IS NOISY!”, when he hears the bell rung…

Just the same, I am thankful to be back and I hope I can do it again every Sunday.

Our spiritual life needs nourishment too..

Gifts From Ate Coco

This is just one of the many gifts that I received from Bella and Coco.
I am so thankful for this because I don't need to buy clothes for Sush anymore.
One of the angels of my life is Coco - for Sush!

Yuhann's 6th Birthday

Last May 5 was Yuhann’s Birthday!

As promised, we brought in a small cake for him.

Nat was having fun playing with gun toys and sitting on the big car for kids.

But just as kids would have it, they only ate a little and they were more on playing around, getting sweaty and dirty, but HAPPY!

18th Annual General Assembly of CEVCC

Today is the 18th Annual General Assembly of CEVCC. We attended the event at Metro Center Hotel.

As early as now, I tried my best to teach them how to save. I'm glad and thankful that CEVCC are open-minded and did not ask for a lot of documents since their adoption is not yet finalized.

With this Cooperative, Nat and Sush can have a way to send their money for better returns.

I hope that someday, they will live a life of discipline and abundance, not lacking anything.

Childhood Trauma Post ~

My eyes caught someone's post in FB today, and I can resonate with this for myself and my kids.

"We often think that just because we dealt with feeling neglected or abandoned as a child, we become “okay” as adults. We tell ourselves “Matanda na’ko. Tapos na yun”. (I'm a grown up now, I'm done with that).

The reality is this: the wound left by our mother or father that has not been addressed will continue to bleed in every aspect of our lives. Majority of the time, these wounds will keep showing up in our relationships regardless if it’s personal, professional, or even intimate. Childhood trauma lingers unless we face it.
Life is short. Make peace with your parents.
This could be the final piece of the puzzle that will complete you. " - Jose Enrico V. Libunao

This is definitely true and I hope that despite their special life beginnings, Sush
and Nat will be able to bounce back in life in a positive way and be able to face their past without any ill feelings. I will be really praying for this.

Ice Cream Day!

I felt bored today and have decided to take the kids for an ice cream.
Finally, I have done this after so many delays and frustrations.
I wanted them to remember that I spend days for ice cream when they were little ;)
