was not expecting her to like her food, but she did ;)

where to in May?
“Payag” is a Bisaya word that means a small house—a hut.
Payag Restaurant is one of the city’s oldest dining spots. It’s not exactly a favorite of mine, but somehow I find myself missing it. The quiet, homey feel it offers. I wanted to be somewhere unhurried, a place where the atmosphere is calm and people aren’t rushing in and out.
It was Sush’s first time there, our April date. A part of me also hoped that M and Nat might suddenly send a message, saying they were already on their way to the city. Waiting there would have felt just right.
I ordered a value meal with grilled chicken (leg), unlimited rice, and pork barbecue, along with service water and a cold calamansi juice. Sush had her own grilled chicken leg. She really liked it (good girl!). ;)
We stayed for a while, but there was no update from M and Nat. During that time, Sush mostly watched YouTube videos.
We didn't talk much, except when she said that she didn't like the fish sauce with calamansi.
Maybe next time, we can talk more. I’d love to ask her a few questions and really hear her thoughts.
Still, I’m glad she enjoyed the food. I just wish we had shared a bit more of a moment—something where I could learn more about her, simply by talking.
