A Year by the Sea 2026! - February at San Pedro Public Beach - Bingag, Dauis
And out of a sudden we decided to go to San Pedro Beach, a
public beach almost ten minutes by walk. This is where I grow up. My happy
place. The place where I was also insecure, where I drown at six years old.
My sister who lives in Panglao joined us with her son RR.
Awing and Yohan, my nephews were there too. Awing brought with him several
chips for us to munch on. I just brought water and left over pancakes.
The funny part was, there was this Italian tourist who made
the boys’ swim even more exciting. He spent his time playfully tossing the kids
into the water, and their giggles filled the air.
Out of a sudden, I heard Sush crying while clutching the
boat’s outrigger.
I have warned them even before not to play with an outrigger
cause it might cause drowning the moment it will move to the deeper part of the
water and it happened. She learned her lesson that day.
Over all, the kids are happy and I have a calmer heart for
the day.
